Governor George E. Pataki has signed into law an increase in the real estate salesperson qualifying course hours from the current 45 hours to 75 hours effective July 1, 2008. This legislation was strongly supported by NYSAR.

WASHINGTON (July 12, 2006) In written testimony submitted to the House Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit, the National Association of Realtors urged Congress to consider tightening the loophole that permits commercial firms to control federally insured banks.
